Are you ready for a Suddenly of God?

God is about to birth what he has put inside of you before you expect it.

You have a gift inside you, a dream, a vision, a prophetic word you are standing on, an idea.

You have been pushing through resistance.  You may be doubting what God has promised you.  There is confusion and cloudiness and you have lost clarity of your vision. Or you may be feeling overwhelmed with all that is coming against you, and you don’t know what to prioritise.  You may be starting to doubt if you can even do what God has called you to do.

These are exactly the signs to tell you you’re on track to birth what God has put inside of you.

In fact, you are going to give birth prematurely.  God is giving you forewarning to be ready.  He’s going to make it happen sooner than you think, but you need to partner with God and take action.

Don’t Give Up!

Keep going, you are about to breakthrough.  It is going to take one more push.

You are going into premature labour.

God showed me an image of pregnancy in its infancy going into premature labour.  Standing in the shower when suddenly the waters broke.   Looking at the water in unbelief, trying to determine if it was actual labour water or the shower water, until it was clear the birthing process was happening.

There was an urgency to get to hospital, but there were other distractions getting in the way of the journey.  But the distractions were not of your concern.

Surrender to God what is God’s.

God has the distractions in His hands, and you can surrender them to him.  These distractions were a concern to others around you, but not to you.  They were trying to convince you to take control of those distractions you had already surrendered to God.  Be careful not to pick back up what you have already surrendered to God.

In pregnancy there is a long wait from the time of conception to the birth of the child.  During that wait, you are preparing, getting your home ready to bring the baby into. But there is only so much you can prepare for.  Most of the time you are sitting around waiting, dreaming about what it will be like to have the baby in your arms, what he or she will look like, who he or she will look like. What impact the child will make on the world as you ponder over names.

But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.

Romans 8:25

You don’t know what to expect and that makes you feel nervous.  You question, will I be a good parent, and what if I can’t do what God has called me to do?  What if I fail?

But what if you succeed?

God has anointed you to do what He has called you to, otherwise He would not have called you to it.  Step out in faith, even if that feels scary.  What God has called you to, He will bring you through.  He’s got you.

Often the pregnancy is uncomfortable. As the baby grows it gets heavier for your body to carry around.  Sometimes the baby’s kicks can really hurt, especially when it plays football with your bladder, or it presses up under your lungs so you can’t breathe.  By the end you just want the baby out.  That’s if you make it to the due date or worse, go over.

But you won’t have time to sit around and wait, so you better be ready.

You may be thinking what God has put inside of you is so far out of reach it will be a very long time before you have your promise in your hands.  You may be thinking you have a lot of time to prepare, so you are taking it easy, procrastinating, preparing here and there, resting in between, and dreaming of what it will be like when you finally have it.

But God is about to do a ‘suddenly’.

You will question “Is this really happening?”

It is happening and you need be ready to step into it. Don’t be surprised when the ‘suddenly’ comes upon you.  Instead, be prepared.

Are you ready for what God is about to birth from you, or are you letting distractions get in the way?

What are your distractions?

Social media, worrying about what other people think, TV, having too many things on your to do list? What is it for you?

Whatever they are, give them to God.  He does not want you focusing on things that are not your concern, things that are not of God.  Ask Him to help you stay focused on the things that are from God.  But we don’t always have time to be solely committed and laser focused on what God has called us to.

We may have spouses, children, careers, study, and other priorities we must fit in to the mix.   Ask God for keys and strategies that allows time for all your priorities.  He knows how important they are. He will help you have time for all that is good for you.

You will need to press into God for clarity and direction, and gain healing from confusion and frustration.  Then you will see from God’s perspective and be ready to act.  God is calling you deeper into Him.  He has the keys and strategies for your next move.

It’s time to go to Jesus.

A shower represents cleansing.  You will find cleansing in God’s presence and in His word.

We are in difficult and uncertain times with COVID and constant lockdowns, unemployment, isolation, rules, and restrictions, we struggle with what that does to our mind and our health.  Fear, stress, anxiety, loneliness, confusion, anger and the list goes on.  God wants you to come to Him so you can be set free of these inflictions and infirmities.  Then you will gain the strength and clarity to receive God’s instruction to prepare you with what He is about to suddenly bring forth from you.

Jesus replied, “A person who has bathed all over does not need to wash, except for the feet, to be entirely clean.

John 13:10

You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you.

John 15:3

Fear, anxiety, loneliness, confusion, anger etc, comes from the enemy to stop you from receiving and moving forward in what God has for you.  Don’t shut down when you are fearful.  Confess them to God so you can be set free to receive from God.

But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

1 John 1:9

Bring forward God’s promises through prayer.

Do whatever it is that takes you into the presence of God.  Whether it’s Praise, Worship, soaking in the word of God.  Go into your private space, close the door, and get alone with God.  If you want to know Gods will for your life, don’t pray prayers of how you want things to be.  Ask God to speak to you about His plans for your life, then sit and listen. Even if it means you sit silently and wait for however long it takes.  Just worship and wait for Him to speak.

But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

Matthew 6:6

When you don’t know what to pray for trust in Holy Spirit.  Pray in your heavenly language and keep going until you get your revelation. If you don’t know how to pray in a heavenly language, ask God to give you the gift of Holy Spirit, or ask a Christian friend to pray with you to ask God to baptise you in Holy Spirit.  The evidence of Baptism in the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues.

26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. 27 And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers[l] in harmony with God’s own will. 28 And we know that God causes everything to work together[m] for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Romans 8:26-28

Time for Healing

A hospital represents times of healing and recovery and an Insight into what’s going on inside you.

Usually, we go to hospital to give birth, especially when the baby is premature, for the health and safety of mother and baby.  It is the same with what God wants to do in you now.  He is calling you into deep prayer.  One of travailing in intercession.

Travailing Intercession

Bringing forth the promise God has put inside you will take travailing in intercession.

What is Travailing in intercession?

As it is in the natural, so it is in the spiritual. Travail is a form of intense intercession given by the Holy Spirit whereby an individual or group is gripped by something that grips God’s heart. The individual or group labours with Him for an opening to be created so that the new life can come forth.

Travail takes place after you have carried something in your heart for a period of time, but it comes on you suddenly. Prayer of tears can also be associated with Travail but does not require it. It is preceded by nurturing the promise; later the strategic time comes to push that promise forth through the prayer canal. Finally, you realize that the promise has been born, and you are greatly relieved when the delivery is over!

Elijah travailed in intercession when he went to the top of Mount Carmel and bowed low to the ground and prayed with his face between his knees.

Later on, in the third year of the drought, the Lord said to Elijah, “Go and present yourself to King Ahab. Tell him that I will soon send rain!” So Elijah went to appear before Ahab. Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go get something to eat and drink, for I hear a mighty rainstorm coming!” 42 So Ahab went to eat and drink. But Elijah climbed to the top of Mount Carmel and bowed low to the ground and prayed with his face between his knees. 43 Then he said to his servant, “Go and look out toward the sea.” The servant went and looked, then returned to Elijah and said, “I didn’t see anything.” Seven times Elijah told him to go and look. 44 Finally the seventh time, his servant told him, “I saw a little cloud about the size of a man’s hand rising from the sea.” Then Elijah shouted, “Hurry to Ahab and tell him, ‘Climb into your chariot and go back home. If you don’t hurry, the rain will stop you!’”45 And soon the sky was black with clouds. A heavy wind brought a terrific rainstorm, and Ahab left quickly for Jezreel.

1 Kings 18:1, 41-45

Now get ready to receive.  You won’t expect what is coming your way as you step out in obedience to what God is calling you to do. Remain focused, consistent, and persistent and step out in faith.

Has this spoken to you?

I invite you to leave a comment or send me an email to let me know how this speaks to you. You can ask for prayer to help you give birth to what God has put inside you, or share a testimony where God has done this in your life.
