Even in the Valley You Can Have Peace!

Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me, Your rod and Your staff protect me.

Psalms 23:4 NLT

What valley are you walking through today?

There are many valleys we can be walking through.  The valley of:

Mourning or grief
Tribulation and trial
The valley of decision
The valley of the enemy’s domain

Thousands upon thousands are waiting in the valley of decision. There the day of the Lord will soon arrive.

Joel 3:14 NLT

Be Still and Know That I Am God!

During a time of worship in my secret place with God, I asked God what He wants me to tell you.  Immediately, I saw the face of Jesus and then I saw a calm, still, peaceful river at the bottom of a valley.  Two mountains reaching high on either side, with inviting blue water sitting at the base of the two mountains.  I had an eagle eye view way above the top of the mountains, where I could see the peaceful river waiting below.  The blue of the water lighting up the darkness of the valley.  I could also see a view over the whole region.  A view you cannot see from the bottom, while in the darkness of the shadow from the mountains surrounding you.

Whatever your valley is today, you can know that you are not walking through it alone.

When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs. The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings.

Psalms 84:6 NLT

He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams.

Psalms 24:2 NLT

I AM is with you!

There is no one like our God.  No one else can bring you through your valley other than God, the great I AM!

But Moses protested, “If I go to the people of Israel and tell them, ‘The God of your ancestors has sent me to you,’ they will ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what should I tell them?”  God replied to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. Say this to the people of Israel: I AM has sent me to you.”

Exodus 3:13-14 NLT

Turn your eyes to Jesus and keep your focus on him and block out all distractions.  His eyes are on you, His countenance shining upon you, and He is walking through the valley with you.  He never takes His eyes off you and He will never let you go.  There you will know His love for you, and you will be able to rest in His peace, even though you are in the Valley.  Perfect love casts out all fear.

Let your favour shine on your servant. In your unfailing love, rescue me.

Psalms 31:16 NLT

Peaceful Still Water Represents The Word of God

“Oh, that you had listened to my commands! Then you would have had peace flowing like a gentle river and righteousness rolling over you like waves in the sea.”

Isaiah 48:18 NLT

Soak in the word of God, gain His wisdom and rest in His peace as He guides you.  There you will find answers.  He will give you keys and strategies to get you through.  He has an answer for every situation you find yourself in.

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

Psalms 119:105 NLT

To make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word.

Ephesians 5:26 NLT

The Colour Blue Represents Wisdom.

In His word you will find wisdom.  Ask God for wisdom, He will freely give it to you.

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.  I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people and his incomparably great power for us who believe.

Ephesians 1:17-18 NIV

Eagle Eye View

Rest in Him, in His Word. Worship Him and give Him thanks, even in the darkest valley and he will lift you higher to get His perspective, and have an eagle eye view of what lies ahead.

If you swapped your eyes for an eagle’s, you could see an ant crawling on the ground from the roof of a 10-story building. You could make out the expressions on basketball players’ faces from the worst seats in the arena. Objects directly in your line of sight would appear magnified, and everything would be brilliantly coloured, rendered in an inconceivable array of shades.

Keep Your Eyes on Jesus

By keeping your eyes on Jesus and receiving his wisdom, you will be given a new perspective of precise vision and brilliant joyful colours of what lies ahead.  We can expect nothing less from our brilliant creator.  God will lift you up to see from His view.  He will raise you up to see with an eagle eye view of the valley you are walking through.  You will be able to see the peace you can rest in because He is right there with you amid it all, in the bottom of the Valley.  You will also see across the whole region.  He will give you a glimpse of the future so you can see what lies ahead and give you hope for your future.

You have seen what I did to the Egyptians.  You know how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself.

Exodus 19:4 NLT

But she was given two wings like those of a great eagle so she could fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness.  There she would be cared for and protected from the dragon for a time, times, and a half time.

Revelation 12:14 NLT
